One of the most prolific musicians hailing from Zimbabwe, Oliver Mtukudzi, with a career spanning more than 40 years, is a virtuoso in his home country and the African continent.

Keeping with the tradition of celebrating some of Africarsquos best musical talents, Capital FM is proud to announce Zimbabwersquos Afropop legend will be headlining the 7th edition of Koroga Festival in Nairobi, Kenya at the Arboretum Gardens on Sunday, 7th of June, 2015.

Mtukudzirsquos distinct husky voice, backed by his band The Black Spirits, will be delighting festival-goers with his sweet acoustic guitar rifts and sounds of a mbirai thumb piano.

The Harare-native and music icon first began performing in 1977, and to date, has released 56 albums with his latest ldquoMukombe Wemvurardquo in 2014. Generally singing in Shona ndash Zimbabwersquos dominant language shy ndash Mtukudzi also sings in Ndebele and English about the economic and social problems of his country and the African continent.

Known for mixing the sounds of traditional instruments with modern sounds, Mtukudzirsquos melodies never leave you cold!
