Beverly “Bev” Sibanda who turned 23 last month will on Sunday host a belated birthday party dubbed “Beverly Bash” at the Private Lounge. The “Tatsemukira” hit-maker said she is prepared for her debut public birthday bash which will be combined with his manager Hapaguti Mapimhidze’s party.

“I encourage my fans to come in their numbers as usual and help me celebrate it in style. I am prepared for the show and there will be surprises. I turned 23 last month on April 23 and people should expect to see more mature stuff from my perfromances,” she said.

Mapimhidze who turned 40 on May14 said he appreciates the support of fans as he celebrates his belated birthday.

“I would like to thank the continual support of our fans who help us put food on the table. I am happy to be celebrating this day with family and friends,” he said.

He explained why they failed to do the bash on time.

“We failed to have the bash on time because that time Beverly was having issues with Prophet (Walter) Magaya. It was impossible to host the party but we are happy she is back in showbiz and fans can celebrate with her.

Top artistes like Suluman,Douglas and Tryson Chimbetu,Progress Chipfumo,Lady Squanda,Roki,Shinsoman ,Dino Mudondo are expected to grace the event.

Bev is still basking in the glory of her success as she was she came out number two among the dancers who performed at the at the recently held Harare International carnival.

It seems the spirit of hosting birthday bashes is spreading among the musicians.

Dendera king Sulumani Chimbetu’s birthday celebration which were held at the Book Cafeacute on Tuesday night was attended by various musicians. Sungura maestro Alick Macheso will next week also celebrate his 46th birthday with a bash at Andy Miller Hall.
