Budding gospel musician Daniel Mhlanga has roped in the services of gospel musician Rumbie Gatawa on his new album “Ndiyeyu”.

The eight-track album carries songs including the title track “Ndiyeyu”, “Soja RaJesu”, “Makristu” and “Hapana” among others.

Gatawa featured on the song “Tenzi Varipo”.

In an interview with The Herald Entertainment, Mhlanga said he believes that Gatawa is a talented vocalist whose voice spiced up his album.

“She is a good vocalist, she has a powerful voice and because of that I just wanted to add a different flair to my project, a move that I believe was successful,” he said.

He also said he is looking forward to working with different artistes on his future projects and live performances.

“My dream is to work with as many established artistes as possible. So far I have shared the stage with Mathias Mhere and I am also looking forward to performing alongside the first gospel couple, Baba naMai Charamba,” he said.

Mhlanga said his album calls for unity and love among Christians and also strengthens their faith. “The album tackles a number of issues from those that affects Christians to social issues, but basically the message is to remind each other that Jesus is the Lord and to those who have accepted Him in their lives they will see no evil. To those who have not yet repented, the message is it’s your choice to receive Jesus as your personal savior or not,” he said.

Mhlanga’s manager, Patson Chibura, said a D album release was imminent. “The album is currently doing well on the local radio stations and we are currently working on a D album that is going to be launched in August this year,” he said.
