KASIMERO Chimbadzwa’s dream of playing for Harare giants Dynamos has been put on hold after the Glamour Boys and his Division One club ZRP FC failed to agree on a deal.

The 2014 Northern Region Golden Boot winner has been training with the Harare giants for the past two months hoping to join the Premiership champions in their quest for a fifth league title but negotiations have hit a brick wall.

Dynamos insisted yesterday that they were not able to pay the amount requested by the police outfit for the services of the player.

DeMbare secretary-general, Webster Chikengezha, said they could not reach common ground in their negotiations with the Zimbabwe Republic Police side and were now looking to consider the striker during the second transfer window which opens in July.

The current Premiership window closes tomorrow and clubs should be making their last minute shopping today.

“Honestly speaking, as a club, we are not in a position where we can afford to pay the amount that they are asking for.

“So we were a little bit hesitant to enter into an agreement that we know we may not be able to honour at a later stage and cause unnecessary tension.

“He is still on our radar, anyway, but we may have to consider him for the second transfer window. The current window closes on Wednesday (tomorrow) and I don’t think we will be able to pay that much before the window closes,” said Chikengezha.
