BOTTOM-PLACED Zifa Eastern Region Division One side Chivhu Stars believe their clash against struggling ZRP Masvingo could be the turning point in their campaign.Chivhu Stars have lost twice and drawn once in their three matches. The Chivhu side returned to Division One this year after their home ground Garwe Stadium, which had been condemned last year as a venue not suitable to host Division One matches, was refurbished.

Pedzisai Muhenyeri, Chivhu Stars team manager, said they had a slow start but were hopeful they can start to pick up the pieces.

“We had a bad start and we will take the upcoming fixture against ZRP Masvingo seriously as we need to get some points,” said Muhenyeri.

“The opening match was supposed to be against Mutare Polly but they had their in-house competitions on the day and last week Black Eagles also had the same problems.

“The players are starting to get match fitness and we have been improving with each outing, I’m sure we are going to win this weekend’s game.”
