ELVIS “Chuchu” Chiweshe has revealed that he is a desperate man after a sustained poor run by his Dstv Rangers in the World Navi Northern Region Division One soccer league. The seasoned campaigners are finding the going tough and are yet to win a match after eight games, which has seen them languishing second-from-bottom on the standings.

Dstv Rangers lost their last game against Gunners and will tomorrow lock horns with Royal Classic at Tsungubvi looking for a positive result.

Speaking to The Herald yesterday, the former Dynamos gaffer said he misses winning and is not happy with their current position on the table.

“I need three points, I am desperate that’s all I can say because getting three points will move us from that place. It’s been a long since we last won and I am missing winning.

“People are affected, but the person who is being affected the most is me because I have never been there (bottom of the table) before,” said Chiweshe.

Chiweshe said although his team has been playing well, they were struggling to score goals and that has been their Achilles Heel in the league.

“The only problem is that my youngsters can’t make the ball cross the goal line. They are getting there, but they can’t utilise those chances especially in our match against Gunners, they created chances but failed to utilise them.

“Now this is what I am worried about, that’s what we are working on today (yesterday). If we are going to make changes, it’s going to be one or two. We are seeing that the core of the team is there.

“When you are building a team you start from the back going upfront we have done 90 percent and are left with 10 percent, which is the strike force.

“So, if we are going to change the team, we are starting from the midfield to the front we won’t temper much with the defence,” said Chiweshe.

Rangers should not expect any favours when they clash with Royal Classics who are just one place above them on the table.

Royals Classics, who were promoted into Division One last season, are struggling to adjust to their new life and have six points from two wins.
