R’n’B sensation Cindy Munyavi is back in business with the release of her two new singles entitled “Summer Time” and “Ndiri Mupenyu”. The songs are taken off her upcoming album titled “Music, Vocal, Cindy” set for release by January next year.

Speaking on the singles, Cindy said the songs were a taste of good things to come.

“The songs were launched on the 25th of this month on the radio releases. ‘Ndiri Mupenyu’ is an afro-pop song talking about wanting to celebrate life when I am still alive and also to encourage the society to appreciate each other when they are still alive,” said Cindy.

“It is better to spoil your loved one now than to spend so much on their funeral, because then they will not see your efforts,” she said.

“The other song, ‘Summer Time’, is a fun, relaxing, easy-going track with a vintage R’n’B feel which is inspired by the 90s music,” she said

“I think this track is going to revive that vintage feel in Zimbabwe,” she hopes.

Munyavi said the songs on her forthcoming 16-track album would be different from her previous productions.

“I did a lot of experimenting with my vocals, a move that is aimed at getting my music to a much wider audience.

“I would categorise my new album as contemporary urban music, as I did so many genres in this album and feature several artistes from around Africa.

“I did this album targeting a continental audience, I think it’s high time I move my music to the rest of the continent, but I am also garnering for local support,” she said.

Cindy is a RnB artiste, who is currently signed to Bryce Productions. She is well known for her songs “Ndidzorere Moyo Wangu” and her rendition of late dendera king Simon Chimbetu’s “Parere Moyo”.
