BELEAGUERED Premiership side Triangle have suspended one of their assistant coaches Gift Muzadzi while head coach Biggie Zuze is sitting on an ultimatum as the club tighten screws on the technical staff to turnaround the fortunes of the club.

Moses Chunga has also been taken to court by the Chiredzi FC leadership, who now face the possibility of bringing football into disrepute by taking matters to court, in an attempt to bar him from taking charge of the team.

Sources said Muzadzi was suspended three weeks ago after turning down a revised contract which spelt new targets following a poor run of results by the team this season. Zuze and his staff had been given the last four games to collect at least nine points to save their jobs.

The coaches were not available for comment yesterday but club chairman Lovemore Matikinyidze could not be drawn to discuss the ultimatum.

“It’s nothing new because in any organisation people work on the basis of targets. Anyway it’s in their contracts.

“Otherwise, we are happy with the performance of late and we hope to continue in the same vein. The last two games have shown that we are turning on a new leaf.”

Zuze was supposed to be attending the Caf A Licence currently underway in Harare but he couldn’t participate for unexplained reasons.

Now they have given the coaches new contracts.

Chiredzi chairman Charles Muchatukwa yesterday insisted they have replaced Chunga with his assistants Tinashe Zishiri and Dzingai Murinye on an interim ahead of the match against Harare City this afternoon.

“As far as we are concerned, we have finished with him. We are done with that phase and we are looking to move forward. If he is challenging that decision, then we may need to wait for the outcome,” said Muchatukwa.
