FLAME LILY and Whawha coaches Nesbert Saruchera and Luke Petros have been given the green light to guide the teams in the Premier Soccer League next year.

Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services Commissioner-General Paradzai Zimondi revealed this at a ceremony to honour the two teams.

“We are proud of our 2014 achievements as ZPCS, it’s something which shall forever remain engraved on Zimbabwe’s great moments in the beautiful game of football.

“I know it was not easy to be crowned the champions given the mammoth competition and some other challenges that include transport and financial support.

“Our promotion to the Premier League has been accomplished in a spectacular fashion where, after many years of promise, we finally have two teams qualifying in one season,” Zimondi said.

Zimondi said both franchises would be maintained.

“May I take this opportunity to demystify the rumour that has been circulating in the media that ZPCS are intending to sell the franchise of one of these teams,” Zimondi said.
