MIDFIELDER Allan Gahadzikwa believes FC Platinum are in prime position to surprise Highlanders when they meet in the Commander Zimbabwe National Army Charities Challenge Cup tie at Barbourfields on Sunday.Gahadzikwa has just returned to the first team after a lengthy spell on the sidelines as he battled injury.

“We respect Bosso in the sense that they have not lost a league match this season, meaning they are playing well,” said Gahadzikwa.

“They must also know that the losses we suffered as a team do not mean we are playing badly. We are ready to pose a challenge and I know it will be a tough match as they will be at their favourite home ground, but we are going to give them a good run for their money.

“It is also a game that I want to prove to the multitudes that I am not finished, as many people thought.”

Gahadzikwa nearly reunited with his former coach at Motor Action, Joey Antipas, at Chicken Inn but then had a change of heart after being told by Lloyd Mutasa that he was part of his plans at FC Platinum.

Mutasa led FC Platinum to victory over Bosso in the BancABC Sup8r Cup at Mucheke last year.

FC Platinum have never beaten Highlanders at Barbourfields in a league match.

Mutasa is expected to unleash his battery of youngsters — Tatenda Dzumbunu, Wisdom Mutasa, Walter Musona, Obrey Chirwa and Immaculate Mawune.
