At least 30 schools have made it through to Zimbabwe Schools’ Quiz Tournament finals after they successfully won in provincial finals held across all 10 provinces last month.

Manicaland will be represented by St Faith’s High School, Marist Brothers Nyanga and Mutare Boys High School while Fletcher High School, Shungu High School and Musume High School will come from the Midlands.

Apparently, the provincial competitions were fun-filled as schools from all corners of Zimbabwe battled it to book a place for the national finals.

This year’s format saw three teams from each province qualifying for the national finals. Each provincial winner walked away with a trophy, while the second and third-placed schools received engraved shields.

In the true spirit of the competition, no one went home empty-handed as each participating school and student received a certificate to acknowledge their contribution to the success of the event. The Zimbabwe Schools’ Quiz Tournament is an Afro-centric quiz competition for high schools.

It is the premier schools’ quiz competition in Zimbabwe, reaching schools in all corners of the country. The tournament is organised by the Book of African Records, an Afro-focused research and educational institution based in Harare.

The Zimbabwe School’s Quiz Tournament is made possible through the sponsorship of Old Mutual Foundation, ConsultUs Publishing Services and National Association of School Heads.
