AFTER giving giants CAPS United a scare in their opening match of the Castle Lager Premiership, newboys ZPC Kariba believe they will only get better in the next match when they face champions Dynamos at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

ZPC Kariba raced into the lead in the 10th minute when Pride Tafirenyika headed home and the Green Machine were forced to chase the game until substitute Dominic Chungwa equalised in the 70th, with a beauty, to save the seasoned campaigners.

Gwenya ReChamhembe, as ZPC Kariba are known to their fans, were the last team to officially register with the Premiership and, at one point, their status had hanged in the balance.

Coach Saul Chaminuka believes their delay in registration almost destroyed their momentum in their preparations but is hopeful that they are back on track.

Judging by the way they took on CAPS United at Gwanzura on Sunday, ZPC Kariba should not be underrated at all. The club could be new in the Premiership but Chaminuka has assembled seasoned journeymen to make up his squad.

Besides Tafirenyika, David Rediyoni, Norman Togara, Tawanda Munyanduri, Tawanda Nyamandwe, Rapheal Manuvire, Peter Mozondo, Limited Chikafa and Ephraim Mwinga have played Premiership football before.
