The mutual relationship that exists between Zimbabwe and Kenya and their respective defence forces must continue to strengthen for the benefit of citizens of both countries, Vice Chief of the Kenyan Defence Forces Lieutenant General Samson Mwathethe has said. Lt Gen Mwathethe said this in Harare yesterday upon arrival to officiate at a fundraising dinner and golf tournament which will be held at Borrowdale Brooke Country Golf Club today by Musha Mukadzi Zimbabwe Armed Forces Foundation.

Musha Mukadzi is a charity organisation led by Ms Mary Chiwenga, the wife of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces commander General Constantine Chiwenga and proceeds from the function would be used to assist people with non-communicable diseases.

General Chiwenga would host the dinner and golf tournament to raise US$2,5 million targeted by MMZAFF to support children with cancer.

At least 450 people are expected to attend, musicians Sulumani Chimbetu, Alick Macheso and Jah Prayzah will perform.
