LIMITED Chikafa, one of the stars of the 2014 Castle Lager Premiership, says he has no plans of hanging up his boots anytime soon. The 33-year-old ZPC Kariba forward turned back the hands of time to the years when he used to lead the Green Machine attack with a solid performance for the Premiership newcomers.

Chikafa’s come-back story has provided the Premiership with one of its fairytales after the forward looked down, and out of the game, as he battled a heart ailment.

“I think I still have a lot to offer, in as far as football is concerned, and I need to keep on playing,” Chikafa told The Herald.

“I cannot stop enjoying this game and age is nothing.

“I still feel energetic and I still have more years to play.

“I am currently enjoying my stay at ZPC Kariba but you never know with coaches and administrators if they will renew my contract. “I will give the team the first preference, as they helped me to be back on my feet, but if any team wants my experience I will consider that offer.

“I think I am still playing well and being among the Soccer Stars means I did well so I cannot think of retiring at the moment.”

ZPC Kariba had a number of seasoned players like Elvis Meleka, Pride Tafirenyika, Tawanda Nyamwandwe and Tawanda Munyanduri in their ranks.
