South African musicians Mafikizolo and Zahara will join Pah Chihera in celebrating her 24th birthday when they perform at Harare International Conference Centre on March 6.

Pah Chihera was born on March 6 1991.

Mafizikolo and Zahara are travelling with full bands for the tour and are expected to land in Harare on the day of the show.

Other local musicians that will take part at the show are Winky D and Jah Prayzah.

On her Facebook wall, Pah Chihera recently noted: “The most happening show in H-Town (Harare), Oh yes it’s happening on the March 6, don’t miss this walala wasala (don’t be left out). It’s going to be my birthday.”

It will be Mafikizolo’s second show in Harare in four months after their December gig that was oversubscribed.

Show organiser Simba Madziva of Simmad Entertainment said they are planning something special for Pah Chihera on her birthday.

“It is a fascinating coincidence. I just learnt recently that March 6 would be her birthday.

“We will obviously have something special for her. We will have a special act featuring all musicians to celebrate with her,” he said.

“We will have a pre-show rehearsal and we will put together a special act for the birthday girl.

“We know the act will definitely excite fans because all musicians involved are good creators on stage.”

Madziva said they are happy to bring back Mafikizolo after their good show last year while they are also excited to bring back Zahara who has made Zimbabwe her second home. He said they were working hard to ensure a smooth event and avoid bad scenes that happened at Mafikizolo’s show last year.

“We will have six entry points and there will not be many demarcations. We will charge $15 for upstairs and $25 for the downstairs arena. We will have an electronic system to check tickets and doors will open two hours before the show. We are looking forward to a smooth event.”
