FC PLATINUM is confident of bringing home a positive result in the first leg of the Confederations Cup against Sofapaka of Kenya on Sunday. “We have the confidence that we are going to come up with something very positive in Kenya. We are however, going to have a cautious approach and will try not to concede.

“We also need an away goal if not goals as they will come in handy when we play at home. The aantage we have is that we retained the bulk of our squad. We respect the Kenyans as we do not know much about them but all we need is to fly the Zimbabwean flag high,” said coach Patrick Mandizha. He has been in charge of the team during the absence of coach Norman Mapeza who was attending a Caf A Licence course in Harare.

The platinum miners played three friendly matches against Chapungu, Bantu Rovers and Highlanders.
