Former Hope Masike’s drummer Blessing “Bled” Chimanga is set to launch his first album end of this month at Alliance Francaise. The album titled “Dreams” carries nine tracks including singles “Maruva Enyika”, “Joy in My Heart”, “Hold on to Your Dreams” and “Tiri Vanhu Vamwe” among others. In an interview, the pint-sized musician said he is optimistic that the album will have an impact since he took his time working on it.

“I felt it was high time that I release something of my own and I know the songs are good inspirational songs that can motivate people to keep holding to their dreams,” he said.

He said the project carries great energy and diversity. Chimanga who is the founder of a musical group ZimboIta that is made up of Zimbabweans and Italians added that he will be working on international collaborations after the launch of his first album.

“I have been touring Africa and Europe with my group Zimbolta and had made several connections with different artists from across Africa and Europe so in my next projects people must look forward to a number of international collaborations because I want my music to go international catering for people of diverse backgrounds,” he said.

Meanwhile, he hailed Hope Masike for grooming him to be what he is today.

“Hope is so hard working and I learnt a lot from her when I used to be her drummer, she taught the essence of working hard and I am sure I will continue working hard for me to grow in this now flooded industry,’ he said.

His single “Maruva Enyika” from the album was released last month and is currently doing well on local charts.
