Preparations for gospel musician Mathias Mhere’s D album launch for his latest offering “Nguva YeNyasha” are at an aanced stage with the artiste finalising the production.

The launch is set for June 13 at a local hotel and will coincide with his 26th birthday celebrations.

A stellar line-up has been offered featuring big names in the gospel fraternity.

Topping the list are the Charambas while other artistes to look forward include Sebastian Magacha, Mudiwahood and Tembalami. Dancehall musician Soul Jah Love will also grace the event.

In an interview, Mhere confirmed that all is set for the launch and the celebrations.

“The stage is set and all things will be happening at once since I will be launching my D album and celebrating my birthday in style,” said Mhere.

“We have lined up a number of artistes to perform at the must attend event including the first Gospel family, Baba namai Charamba, Sebastian Magacha, Tembalami and Soul Jah Love.”

“Soul Jah Love is a good artiste and we would want him to be there to put icing on the cake,”added Mhere.

The eight track D album features hilarious comedian David Mubaiwa better known as Sabhuku Vharazipi on the song “Pamazuva Angu”.

“We worked with Sabhuku Vharazipi on the album, and it was a good experience working with him, sharing knowledge,” he said.

Of interest is that the video for the song “Idya Tafura” was shot in South Africa where Mhere performed his debut show.

Tracks to look forward to include many’s favourite “Ziya Rangu” and “Zino Irema” among other tracks on the sizzling album.

Mhere rose to prominence with his previous album “Anoita Minana” which made him a household name with hits such as “Favour”, “Chipostori” and “Areka”.
