FORMER Dynamos captain Murape Murape has gone back to school.

The 34 year old was forced to hang up his boots this year after a glittering career with the champions.

He has just enrolled for a level one coaching and is now set to enrol for a level two programme in September.

Chicken Inn midfielder Clement Matawu is another player who has also enrolled for the coaching course together with Murape Murape.

Murape was recently told by the Dynamos leadership that he was now old and did not feature in their plans as they were seeking to recruit younger players this season. The club said he could be possibly considered for a coaching job.

However, the veteran midfielder, who had been earmarked to train the juniors did not have the requisite qualifications to coach, forcing him to go back to school.

Dynamos coach David Mandigora and assistant Tonderai Ndiraya had agreed that Murape, the longest serving Dynamos captain be assigned to a coaching role.

“He (Murape) has served the club for a long time and we cannot just lose dedicated people like that,” said Ndiraya earlier this year.

“The coach met him on Wednesday and they will meet again when we begin pre-season training on Monday to map the way forward.

“But, for now, we are all agreed that he can give something to the club, as a player or in another capacity but, like I said, it’s him who will choose.”
