Chinhoyi University of Technology student Joseph Murisi will tomorrow exhibit some of his artistry at Herald House in the capital. His works comprises of 3D art, graphic design, installation drawings and graffiti.

In an interview with The Herald Entertainment, Murisi, who describes his work as a casual informative platform, said his artworks are educational to the community.

“I am using my artistry to convey positive messages that are helpful to the community especially the art community, I am now specialising in graffiti. Graffiti is usually well known for conveying negative or bad messages in the community but I am using it differently, teaching the people on different topics affecting the society,” he said.

“I am going to use this opportunity as a stepping stone towards finishing my degree programme,” he said.

Murisi also said he is planning to hold a number of exhibitions in the near future.

“I am planning to hold more exhibitions in the future and also to venture into new art-forms that have been neglected by the art world and I will try to use them positively,” he said.

Murisi is studying for a degree in Creative Art and Design at Chinhoyi University of Technology.

Tinotenda “Tintin” Katsande and Leornad Mapfumo are expected to grace the event where Takura Zhangazha is going to be the guest of honour at the function that will kick off at 1700 hours on the Sixth Floor Hospitality and Conference Centre.
