Newly opened Propa Bless studios in Mbare owned by UK-based producer and music promoter Blessing Manhando aka Propa Bless has managed to attract a number of Zim dancehall’s big names.

Among the artistes who have recorded at the studio are Ninja Lipsy, Extra Large, Dhadza D, Ras Caleb and Ninja Kid. Ninja Lipsy hailed Propa Bless and his team for a job well done saying the studio has brought a relief to her in terms of quality recording.

“Propa Bless studio is so far the best studio I have worked with in the country, when we talk of digital recording. The sound quality is just awesome, I do not think I will ever look for another studio locally again.

“I just want to thank Propa Bless and team including Iton for giving us this platform to record our music to an international standard something that Zim dance hall musicians like me have been longing for,” she said.

On the other hand, Propa Bless said he was overwhelmed with the response the studio is getting from local artistes mainly dance hall artistes and invited others from different genres to join the studio for recording.

“We thank God that the studio has managed to attract different artistes but our aim is to reach out to every artiste out there be it be it sungura, urban grooves or dancehall.

“What I want is to support local music in any way I can,” he said.

The state-of-the-art studio is equipped with high definition equipment that produces good quality music that can match international standards. Propa Bless added that it is high time that Zimbabwean music competes with other countries.

“From what I have seen, there is a lot of talent here and what is lacking are resources and support for our artistes. With this studio I am sure we will go a long way in solving some of the challenges artistes have been facing,” he said.
