South African award winning gospel artist Sifiso Ncwane and Sebastian Magacha are set to perform at Tatenda Mahachi’s album launch on March 31 at Reps Theatre in Belgravia.

Rumbi Zvirikuzve and Emilda Mudzamiriri are also expected to perform. Mahachi said all is set for the launch of his album “Declaration”, saying Ncwane has confirmed he is coming for the launch.

“The preparations are going on well with Ncwane having confirmed his participation. The night is going to be big and obviously a night to remember,” he said. He said the album which encourages people to put their trust in God by declaring his will in their lives carries songs such as “Ndinoda Jesu” a collaboration he did with Ncwane and collaboration he did with Magacha.

“We will be performing ‘Ndinoda JesuNgiyakuthanda uJesu’ with Ncwane and ‘Tichamuon’, a collaboration with Sebastian,

“Prudence Katomeni Mbofana is also going to be there and we will perform the hit that we did together ‘Ndibvumbamirei’, ” he said.

He added that they are currently working on the D of the audio album to be released this year.

“I was in South Africa where we were shooting the video of the song ‘Ndinoda Jesu’ and we are also working on other songs,” he said.

Mahachi, who was appointed brand ambassador of Care at the Core of Humanity -a private voluntary organisation, ventured into music in 2007 when he released his first album titled “Miyedzo”, which was followed by “Kure” in 2010 and “Agare”, which was released last year.

He is currently riding high with his latest single “Ndinoda Jesu” which is doing well on the local charts.

Ncwane who is set to be the guest artist is based in Durban and is one of South Africa’s prolific gospel musicians.

He was named the Best Male Gospel artist for 2010 at the prestigious Crown Gospel Music Awards.

He is popularly known by his songs “Kulungile Baba” and “When Jesus Say Yes.”
