AFTER struggling in most of their games when the World Navi Northern Region Division One soccer league season took off, newboys Seven Flames are showing some positive signs as they have started picking points.

Seven Flames will be out to maintain their fine run when they take on ZRP Morris at Morris Depot tomorrow.

They have so far won three matches out of the 13 they have played and their recent win against Mushowani was a huge boost to the team’s confidence.

Flames held another highly-rated team, Flame Lilly, who are currently occupying fourth position on the log.

Coach Kudakwashe Matuwi said tomorrow’s game is a must-win if they are to continue climbing up the table.

“As usual, this is a different game and we will treat it as such. We have not played them before and we don’t know how they play, but we will be out to get good results.

“We were always working hard and now the signs are there and the results are starting to come. We should win to move up on the log.

“I am not saying it’s automatic, but it’s a must-win game for this to work out well for us,” said Matuwi.

Matuwi said they have also roped in four players and are hoping to have them registered next week to beef up their squad after the window period opened on Tuesday and will close on July 31.

“We have four players we are going to register next week. We have two strikers and two midfielders, but we may also add two defenders.

“We have not yet concluded with their teams,” he said.

The move will be a positive development for the team which had registered just 20 players when the season took off and the coach had indicated that lack of depth was their major concern.

And, hopefully, the coming in of new players will be a relief to the coach who has had to work with limited resources.
