Eloi Mugabe is the founder of “We Write Club”, a writers club at College St Andre that unites over 30 writers and students from the school.

The club holds meetings to discuss stories in newspapers, journals and magazines before selecting a few on which they base to construct their own scripts in several fields.

Mugabe also says they discuss reproductive health issues and encourage every member to behave responsibly.

On top of promoting a reading culture among his peers, Mugabe has gone on to excel in other areas. For instance in 2011, he was awarded a certificate for his great performance at the Oasis quiz competition, while in 2012, he came second in the Super genius quiz bringing the total number of awards to 5.

In fact recently, Mugabe’s team won the first quiz competition during the global entrepreneurship competition week.

Born to Jean Bosco Rudasigwa and Beatrice Kabanyana of Kabeza, the 18-year-old Mugabe is also gifted with good debating skills which he hopes to use to develop his country in future.
