“We are happy with the final 14 and we believe they are capable of making as proud,” said Nyamande.

“We have a good side and and I hope they will not let us down should they stick to what coach Trevor Phiri has taught them during their preparations. We have selected Chipo Mageri as the captain this year, she is one of the best players and has the quality of leadership that the team wants.”

Captain Mugeri said she was ready to lead.

“I am very happy to be the captain, it is a lot of work for me because everyone looks up to me but I pray that we are going to work as team and win the games,” said Mugeri.
