Revellers at the Harare International Carnival’s Exotic Night were on Sunday treated to top flight entertainment as local deejays took turns to thrill fans at Red Fox Club.

Deejay Flavor and Judgment Yard kept the party alive with reggae, local and international dancehall music.

The party reached its zenith when the deejays introduced a dance dubbed “Action Pak”.

While playing a song from popular Jamaican artiste Movado, the deejays demonstrated the moves as the crowd followed suit.

The audience comprised of nationals from different countries including Philippines, Malaysia, Trinidad and Tobago who are in the country for the carnival.

Also in attendance was carnival organisers Zimbabwe Tourism Authority chief executive Karikoga Kaseke, newly-crowned carnival queen beauties Gamuchirai Kujeke,Yvonne Nyamutsamba and Blessing Makumene.

It was indeed a case of unity through music as Chinese nationals could also be seen joining hands with locals in dance.

Meanwhile, the Harare International Carnival is in progress and a number of activities are taking place in Harare and surrounding areas.

On Sunday, a Carnival Bira was hosted by Chief Musarurwa in Chivhu.

International beauties, Miss Tourism International Angeli Adione Gomez and Tharaah Genesa also participated in the ceremony that was also meant to showcase the local culture.

A fashion show hosted by Zim Gossip Agency Models also took place on Sunday and the Deputy Minister of Women Affairs, Gender, and Community Development Abigail Damasani was guest of honor.

Other events that are lined up during the week include the Blast from the Past at Crown Plaza, Africa Day Discussion, Carnival Comedy Night, Carnival Rhumba Night, Carnival Samba Night, Ethiopian Night, Carnival Urban Grooves Night, Carnival Street Party, Zimbabwe Dancehall Concert, Carnival Tourism Night and Carnival Sungura Night.

It promises to be fireworks.
