THE Warriors, who are scheduled to leave by the end of this week for the Cosafa Games in South Africa, last night began trooping into camp.

The team is expected to start training this morning.

Zimbabwe will begin their campaign on Sunday with a match against Mauritius and the Warriors are expected to leave by Thursday.

The Cosafa accreditation process is scheduled for Friday in the North West province of South Africa.

The Warriors are starting in the preliminary stages and have been pooled together with Mauritius, Seychelles and Namibia.

In the last Cosafa edition played in Zambia in 2013, the Warriors finished as the runners-up after losing 0-2 to the hosts in the final.

Young Warriors assistant coach, Saul Chaminuka, will be in charge of the team when the campaign gets underway on Sunday.

Warriors coach Callisto Pasuwa will only link up with the team after taking care of the Under-23 Africa Youth Championship against Swaziland at Rufaro next weekend.

Yesterday, ZIFA communications officer, Xolisani Gwesela, said the players were trickling into camp.

“Players are expected to start trooping in camp this evening (yesterday). We will only have a position tomorrow but some players have already reported for camp as we speak,” he said.

The duo of Ronald Chitiyo and Godknows Murwira and Chicken Inn Edmore Chirambadare have been dropped from the initial squad which was selected by Pasuwa.
