The ministers of Trade, Industry and Finance of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) approved last week in Gaborone, the agenda to be submitted at the next Summit of heads of state and government, to be hosted in August in Victoria Falls, in Zimbabwe, reads a press note from the Angolan Embassy to Botswana which reached Angop on Tuesday.

During the works, in which Angola was represented by a delegation chaired by the minister of Commerce, Rosa Pacavira, were analyzed, among other issues, the proposals of report on Regional Integrated Development Plan (RISDP), SADC investment agenda, as well as the continental integration process.

The participants to the event, which includes the governors of central banks, assessed the implementation and consolidation process of the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) of SADC, the cooperation in domain of Customers Services and issues of trade facilitation, as well as some proposals of amendments to the protocol of commerce.

The Angolan delegation presented during the meeting which was opened by the minister of Commerce and Industry of Botswana, Dorcas Magkato-Maleso, its road map for implementation, in Angola of Free trade Zone of SADC, whose actions in phases started in the beginning of 2013 and expected to end in 2017.

At the end of the meeting, the participants approved the minute of meeting which comprised the proposal to be submitted to the head of state, which states the Macroeconomic Convergence, integration of Market of Goods and services, the development and strengthening of market of capital and finance of SADC and the revision of RISDP for 2015 -2020.

The Angolan delegation, chaired by minister, Rosa Pacavira, consists of State Secretary for Budget of the Ministry of Finance, Alcides Safeca, the deputy governor of Central Bank, Ramos Cruz, and senior officials of the Ministry of Trade.
