Award-winning gospel outfit ZimPraise is set to record their highly anticipated seventh season live D titled “Revelation – It’s still all about Jesus” on July 26 at Glamis Arena. The touring group will share the stage with the godfather of gospel music Baba Mechanic Manyeruke, the Psalms 23 hitmakers Mahendere Brothers and new kids on the block ZimpraiseKids.

“Sharing the stage with the iconic and talented gospel artistes is monumental and it makes the live D recording a must see.

“We are very proud of this partnership and it will be a ground-breaking platform for inspirational praise and worship, ” said the group’s public relations executive Farirai Macheka.

She said ZimPraise has accomplishsed what few groups before them achieved that is the ability to attract fans from all walks of life without straying from their intricate roots.

“It’s about making music that touch adults and young people, people from various socio-economic backgrounds. For us its about ministering through music,” said Farirai.

The “Sungano” hitmakers are constantly working on creative ways to pioneer a new and fresh sound. Featuring a dynamic fusion of voices who helped shape and continue to inspire a generation of praise and worshippers, the live D recording will consist of new songs.

“As ZimPraise we’re committed to continually resource Christians with fresh songs of praise and worship. Our deep passion is to see people connect with the living God in a real and personal way,” she said.

Gospel music has always been a potent force and a comfort to those who are looking for some kind of encouragement in their lives.

The change of venue from the traditional Harare International Conference Centre has been necessitated by the need to accommodate a bigger crowd. The concert will start at 4pm and general admission is $5, VIP $10 and VVIP $15.

Comprising 130 members, the interdenominational choir has done concerts locally and internationally since it was established in 2006. To date, the group has produced six projects volume 1 and 2 are audio productions. Season 3 “Power” was subsequently followed by Season 4 “Covenant”, Season 5 first Zimpraise women’s project “Women of Praise” and Season 6 “All about Jesus”.
