One of the popular gospel choirs, ZimPraise recently wowed their Bulawayo fans as part of the “It’s All About Jesus” tour. The choir, which had not staged a show in the City of Kings and Queens in the last two years, demonstrated the power of gospel music at the sold out concert attended by over 6 000 fans at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Hall.

Fans sang along and danced to a long playlist of songs by the choir from start to finish.

Songs performed were taken from the choir’s chart-topping albums including “All about Jesus”, “Convenant” and “Sungano”.

The hit “Sungano” was played twice as the crowed screamed for an encore.

The praise and worship choir performed for more than one and half hours non-stop, churning out the very best in song and dance.

Supporting acts included Bulawayo gospel group Vocal X led by Eric Moyo.

Being the curtain raisers, Vocal X delivered a phenomenal performance, churning traditional hymns and own compositions.

Pastor G backed by some of ZimPraise members lived up to expectations with songs that include “Maribobobi” and “Indestructible” and occasionally showed his dancing skills.

Not to be outshone was renowned gospel artiste Mathias Mhere who put on a sterling performance as he belted tune after tune that gave the revellers no space to breathe.

The song “Favour” was the icing on the cake to what was already a delightful show.

Worship Addicts held their own against all odds with their amazing vocals.

Their set was tight and their vocals were on point ending the concert on a high note.

The show was arguably one of the best gospel performances in Bulawayo to date.

The next show will be held in Mutare where the choir returns due to public demand.

However, the ZimPraise choir has mastered the dynamism of gospel music. The choir seeks to bring glory to Jesus.
