ZRP MORRIS were the biggest winners in the World Navi Northern Region Division One league when they dismissed Bindura United 4-0 at Morris Depot at the weekend.

The police outfit got their goals from Lawrence Tashaya and Frank Dondo’s braces. Tashaya scored in the 10th and 41st minutes while Dondo had his double in the 31st and 36th minutes.

Black Mambas assistant coach Martin Bonyongwe said this was a huge win for his men.

“We managed to utilise the chances that came our way and we are so happy for the maximum points,” Bonyongwe said.

“Bindura United are a g side and we managed to beat them which gives the players confidence going into the second round of the season.

“We managed to get early goals and defended our goal area.

“We are excited with our new acquisitions, Ephraim Gwiziri and Isaac Madzika, who have brought in a new dimension to the team.

“The players have managed to create chances for us which we utilised and got the goals.”

Gunners held on to pole position when they dismissed Seven Flames 3-1 at Lafarge.
