London: Hottest Ghanaian music sensation, King Paluta, has won three accolades at the 2024 Taabea Ghana Music Awards (GMA) UK. The 'Makoma' hitmaker was adjudged New Artiste of the Year and won the Hiplife Song of the Year with 'Yahitte' and Best Highlife Song of the Year with 'Aseda'. He beat competitors like OlivetheBoy, Estelle Safowaa, and Oseikrom Sikanii to claim the New Artiste of the Year title. According to Ghana News Agency, King Paluta's triumph as New Artiste of the Year marks his third win in the category, having previously secured the title at both the 2024 Ghana Music Awards and the Ghana Music Awards Europe. Meanwhile, Afro-Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy earned the night's highest honor as Artiste of the Year at the 2024 GMA UK. Stonebwoy, who maintained dominance throughout the year, was also named Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year. Other significant awards included King Promise's 'Terminator', which won Most Popular Song of the Year, and Kuami Eugene, who was recognized as Highlife Ar tiste of the Year. The awards event, held at London's Meridian Grand, featured remarkable performances by artists such as Mr Drew, Epixode, King Ayisoba, Ofori Amponsah, Kofi Nti, and Esther Smith. The list of notable winners included Sarkodie as Best Rapper of the Year, Mr Drew for Best Collaboration of the Year, Aku Bless as UK Based Gospel Song of the Year, Perez Muzik as Male Vocalist of the Year, and Lordina the Soprano as Female Vocalist of the Year.
