GFA to Launch ‘Girls 4 Goal’ Campaign in Keta.

Keta: The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is preparing to inaugurate the 'Girls 4 Goal' football campaign at the Keta Business School in the Volta Region. This program is designed to offer training and mentorship to girls and boys aged 10-18, emphasizing football and other sporting activities. According to Ghana News Agency, the initiative, themed 'Girls for Goals', is a nine-month empowerment program focused on promoting gender equality through sports, education, and healthy lifestyles among young girls. The aim is to inspire them to reach their full potential. Scheduled for Tuesday, November 26, 2024, the event will be led by GFA's Deputy General Secretary of Administration, Madam Ama Brobey-Williams. As the originator of this project, she highlights that 'Girls4Goals' embodies the vision of sustainable development, one community at a time, with the ultimate goal of nurturing a generation of change-makers. The program has garnered significant backing from FIFA, the world football governing body, La guide , GIZ, and the GFA. It aligns with the GFA's grassroots development program, which seeks to promote football and increase participation in the sport through various campaigns. The Girls for Goals initiative is crucial in promoting women's football and empowering girls through sports. The launch event will be attended by dignitaries, including the District Chief Executive of Keta, the Director of Education for the Keta Municipal Assembly, and representatives from the Ghana Education Service, alongside Chief and Queen mothers of the Keta Community.
