HARARE, Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe has held talks here with an envoy of President Alpha Conde of the Republic of Guinea, who also delivered a special message from his leader to President Mugabe.

The emissary, Ambassador Djigni Camara, told journalists after a closed-door meeting that the message centred on the need for the two countries to strengthen relations.

"Guinea and Zimbabwe are very close, we need to strengthen, day by day, month by month and year by year the relations between the two countries," Camara said.

He added that the West African country had a lot to learn from the "wise" counsel of President Mugabe, a renowned African leader. Camara said Guinea, one of the countries seriously affected by the Ebola outbreak in 2015, was slowly rebuilding its economy.
