BINDURA, -- President Emmerson Mnangagwa has declared that victory is definite for his Zanu PF party in Zimbabwe's general election set for July 30.
Addressing a packed rally at Chipadze Stadium in this town in Mashonaland Central Province in northeastern Zimbabwe on Saturday, he urged the people to shun 'small' political parties.
"In Mashonaland Central, there should be no other political parties because this is where the liberation struggle started. So you must remain a stronghold of Zanu PF," he said.
President Mnangagwa is the Zanu PF presidential candidate and he will contest Zimbabwe's top job along with 22 other candidates.
President Mnangagwa has promised to deliver free, fair, credible, transparent and violence-free elections.
Zimbabwe's previous elections were discredited because of allegations of politically motivated violence and vote rigging.
