HARARE, Dec 11- President Robert Mugabe says he will announce a new Cabinet before the end of this week following the recent sacking of Vice President Joyce Mujuru, seven Ministers and one deputy Minister from the government.

Addressing members of the ruling Zanu PF party’s Central Committee here Wednesday soon after announcing the appointment of two new vice-presidents of the country and party politburo members, President Mugabe said the vacant Cabinet posts would be filled either on Thursday or Friday.

“I will be making an announcement between perhaps tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday on the government appointees to fill in the positions of the Ministers we have withdrawn from duty,” he said.

President Mugabe announced the elevation of Zanu PF Secretary for Legal Affairs Emmerson Mnangagwa to First Vice-President and former diplomat Mpelekhezela Mpoko as Second Vice-President. Mnangagwa replaces sacked former party Second Secretary Joice Mujuru while Mpoko filled the vacancy that the late John Nkomo left vacant three years ago.

Cabinet Ministers who were dismissed on Tuesday along with Mujuru were Presidential Affairs Minister Didymus Mutasa, who was also Zanu PF Secretary for Administration, Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Minister Webster Shamu, who was party national political commissar, Youth, Indigenization and Economic Empowerment Minister Francis Nhema, Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development Minister Olivia Muchena, Energy and Power Development
Minister Dzikamayi Mavhaire and his deputy, Munacho Mutezo, Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Nicholas Goche and Mashonaland East Provincial Affairs Minister Simbaneuta Mudarikwa.

In addition to replacing the seven sacked Ministers and one deputy, President Mugabe will also be expected to announce a new Justice and Legal Affairs Minister to replace Mnangagwa.
