The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for UN Secretary-General António Guterres:

The Secretary-General was disturbed at the news that an explosion took place on 23 June, during a ZANU-PF rally in Bulawayo in which President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa and other party officials were present.

The Secretary-General condemns such acts of violence and calls for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.  He wishes the injured a quick recovery.
