(TAP) - The Public Prosecutor's Office at the Sfax 1 Court of First Instance ordered the arrest of three sub-Saharan African migrants suspected of killing a 41-year-old Tunisian man on Monday night. The tragedy occurred near the Mahdia road (km 10) in Sakiet Eddaier, following renewed clashes between residents of the Sakiet Eddaier neighbourhood and sub-Saharan African migrants. An investigation had been initiated for premeditated homicide, in accordance with articles 201 and 202 of the penal code, said Public Prosecutor and spokesman for the Sfax 1 court of first instance Faouzi Masmoudi. A fourth individual is wanted in the same case, he added to TAP. The Public Prosecutor's Office had ordered on Monday to take 34 sub-Saharan African migrants into custody for illegal entry into Tunisia and irregular residence, following the acts of violence perpetrated on Sunday evening in the city of Sfax between residents of working-class neighbourhoods and sub-Saharan African migrants.
