Several gospel choral groups will converge for a concert dubbed "One Voice" at the Harare International Conference Centre in September. Spirit Praise team director Lernmore Tavengwa said they have engaged several churches for the concert that is likely to get overwhelming support. "The concept is to have praise and worship teams from different churches that will come and showcase their talents at the event. We are expecting more than 20 churches to come on board for the event," he said.Tavengwa said they have plans to make it an annual event.

"Since we started organising this inaugural event people have shown interest in it therefore, will hold it every year" said Tavengwa.

So far several churches have confirmed their participation at the event.

"We are still on the ground and we want as many churches as possible. Spirit Praise will also be part of the event," he said.

Tavengwa believes several choral groups in the country deserve support to take their music to the next level.

"They need to be supported. Look at what happened to choirs like Chitungwiza Harmony Singers and Zimpraise just to mention a few. We need to give them support," he said.

Participating groups will have a platform to showcase their merchandise.

The Spirit Praise team says it is currently working on a number of musical projects that will be released on the same day.

"We are holding shows across Zimbabwe and I am happy that other musicians are eager to work with us," he said.

The group is currently riding high with songs "Makanaka", "Anodaira" and the title track "Yatokwana Nguva".

Their music appeals to all age groups as it is a fusion of sungura, jazz and rhumba.
