Senase: The Chiefs and people of Senaase in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region have expressed concern about the growing incidents of murder in the area, asking the police to improve personnel visibility in the area.

According to Ghana News Agency, citing the recent murder of a tricycle rider in the area, the community also consulted the local shrine and performed traditional rituals to evoke the anger of the deity against the perpetrators of the murder and other crimes in the area. Nana Tua, the Traditional Linguist to Nana Agyeiwaa Dufie III, the Queen of the Senase in the Berekum Traditional Area, performed the rituals and prayed to the local deity to support and reveal the murder suspects for their subsequent arrest within 40 days.

He slaughtered a white-coloured sheep, presented two bottles of local schnapps, and poured libation as a sacrifice to the gods. Nana Tuah noted that the murder incidents in the area had brought fear and panic among the people and called on the police to intensify night patrols as the community awaited a response from the local deity.
