Botoku-tove: Superior Evangelist Prosper Amenya of the Celestial Church of Christ has urged humanity to always do good, stressing that good deeds are the only things that follow individuals beyond this life. Speaking at a funeral ceremony at Botoku-Tove in the North Dayi District of the Volta Region, Sup. Evang. Amenya encouraged people to prioritize virtuous living over the relentless pursuit of material wealth, describing wealth as fleeting and ultimately unfulfilling.
According to Ghana News Agency, Evangelist Amenya expressed concern about the growing societal trend where many, especially the youth, are consumed by the pursuit of money, often leading to vices such as prostitution, armed robbery, and other crimes. He warned that such actions lead to spiritual destruction and urged those involved to desist immediately.
Quoting from Micah 6:6, he emphasized the importance of justice and righteousness in daily life and called on all to ‘do justice justly to all manner of people’ they encounter. The service was held in memory of the late Selassie Kormla Clark, 39, son of Mr. Gabriel Bright Kofi Kodzi, a Kumasi-based private legal practitioner. Hundreds of mourners attended the ceremony to pay their last respects.
