Dzodze: Chief Superintendent Alfred Kudah, Ketu Divisional Police Commander, has embarked on a familiarisation tour of the Dzodze District to engage with personnel, evaluate challenges, and enhance collaboration with stakeholders. The tour, which began at the Dzodze Police Station, was accompanied by Superintendent Eric Vondee, the Divisional Crime Officer, on Friday.

According to Ghana News Agency, Chief Supt. Kudah addressed the personnel at the forecourt, stressing the importance of discipline, punctuality, neatness in appearance and uniform, and professionalism in their duties. He warned the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) personnel against extorting drivers and urged them to uphold integrity at all times. Superintendent Vondee also emphasized the necessity for detectives to timely submit Situation Reports (Sitreps), Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly returns, as delays create inconveniences and affect operational efficiency.

During the engagement, personnel raised concerns about the urgent need to renovate and strengthen the Dzodze police cells to accommodate more inmates. Chief Supt. Kudah acknowledged the concern and assured that steps would be taken to address it.

The delegation later visited Fafa Radio Station in Dzodze, where they held discussions with Mr. Emmanuel Evortefe, CEO of the station, on strengthening community-police relations. The team then proceeded to the Tadzewu Police barrier and the Tadzewu Police Station in the Ketu North Municipality.

At the barrier, Chief Supt. Kudah encouraged officers to remain alert and execute their duties with professionalism. At the Tadzewu Police Station, he tasked the district command to engage local stakeholders for support in constructing a new cell facility to improve conditions for inmates.

Chief Supt. Kudah’s tour is part of efforts to enhance police visibility, discipline, and stakeholder collaboration across the Ketu Division.
