Sissala West MP Donates GHS340,000 Worth of Medical Equipment to Gwollu District

Gwollu: Mr Mohammed Adams Sukparu, the MP for the Sissala West Constituency, has made a significant contribution to the Gwollu district health directorate by donating medical equipment valued at GHS340,000. This donation aims to enhance healthcare services in the region.

According to Ghana News Agency, the donated equipment includes one theatre bed, 15 ward beds, three ultrasound scanners, two delivery beds, and one suctioning machine. Dr James Sunkari, the Medical Officer, along with Mr Yakubu Benin, the acting District Health Director, received the equipment on behalf of the health directorate.

Dr Sunkari expressed satisfaction with the donation, highlighting its importance for conducting surgeries smoothly in the theatre. Mr Benin thanked Mr Sukparu for his support and assured that the equipment would be utilized effectively while maintaining a good maintenance culture.

In addition to the donation, Mr Sukparu, who also serves as the Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Innovation, promised the
provision of a vehicle for the medical doctor’s transportation, further facilitating healthcare delivery in the district. The MP also took the opportunity to commend the dedication of the health staff and the medical doctor for their commitment to serving in the Sissala West District.
