Agogo: Students have been counseled to make the fear of God and integrity cardinal principles of their lives as young people destined to assume leadership of the country soon. Reverend Captain Michael Yao Foli, Founder of Back to the Rock Ministry, emphasized the importance of these principles during a church service with students of Agogo State College. This visit was part of a broader initiative by the Ministry to mentor students in Senior High Schools, encouraging them to become responsible citizens.

According to Ghana News Agency, Rev. Foli stressed the necessity of instilling the fear of God and integrity in students to counteract the deteriorating moral fabric of society, which is increasingly driven by a pursuit of wealth at all costs. He believes that engaging young people with tailored messages will help shape their lives positively. The emphasis on these values is rooted in a belief that youth are the foundation of the country, and neglecting their moral and spiritual guidance could jeopardize the nation's future.

Rev. Foli cited Psalm 11:3, which states, "If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?" He argued that the current societal trend of exalting wealth without questioning its source misleads the youth, making them believe that wealth accumulation is synonymous with success. This misconception, he noted, contributes to the rise of social vices.

Counseling sessions during the visit also aimed to equip students with strategies to overcome both spiritual and physical challenges. Rev. Foli reminded the youth that beyond material riches lies judgment, urging them to value honest labor as a civic duty.

Pastor Bruno Nyarko, Chaplain of the School, praised the Ministry's efforts, noting that Rev. Foli's visit had been a blessing for the students. He expressed hope that the encounter would inspire many to adopt new, positive habits.
