Hohoe: The 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) has commenced in the Hohoe Municipality of the Volta Region. The examination is being conducted at several centers within the municipality, including HEPSS, St Agatha, Alavanyo Sec. Tech, Afadzato Sec. Tech, and Santa Esther Girls SHS.
According to Ghana News Agency, a visit to the Hohoe E.P Senior High School (HEPSS) center revealed that students of the Visual Arts were starting their examination with practicals. A total of 127 students, comprised of 84 males and 43 females, were observed participating in the examination.
The total number of registered students from the school who are sitting for the exams is 986. Professor Ernest Kofi Davies, the Acting Director General of the Ghana Education Service, highlighted that across the country, 461,640 final-year Senior High School students are expected to take the examination. This figure includes 207,381 males and 254,259 females, showing a slight increase of 1,029 candidates compared to last year’s total of 460,611.
