Atwima mponua: In an act of charity and love, Mrs Evelyn Bridget Prempeh, Headmistress of the Mpasatia D/A Basic ‘A’ School in the Atwima Mponua district, has provided a daily financial support of Ghc200.00 each, to four orphans in the school. She has also provided learning materials valued at Ghc200.00 to each of the pupils.

According to Ghana News Agency, the donations were done through the Bridgeeto Carlos Foundation, a local NGO in the area, which she is the founder. Mrs Prempeh told the agency, after the presentation, that pupils, who were between the ages of 10 and 12 and in basic four and five, needed to be supported to continue their education.

She said, even though her organisation had been supporting orphans, needy children, and teachers in deprived communities, among others in the district, she decided to add those ones in her school. She stated that the objective of the Foundation was to support hard work, commitment and dedication in both learners and teachers, thereby promoting quality education in the area.

Mrs Prempeh commended the sponsors of the Foundation, especially, Madam Rosina Boakye, her classmate, who was seeking greener pastures in the United Kingdom (UK) for the gesture. She called on other benevolent individuals and organisations to support the Foundation to reach out to many needed pupils and teachers in deprived communities.
