JUASO: Despite her unsuccessful bid in the 2024 parliamentary elections, Maame Sarfoah Appiah, the former candidate for Asante-Akim South on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket, has demonstrated her ongoing commitment to her constituents by distributing essential equipment to local apprentices. Appiah provided 80 sewing machines and 70 hair dryers to selected individuals, many of whom have recently completed their apprenticeships and are preparing to launch their own businesses.

According to Ghana News Agency, the beneficiaries were chosen from various communities across the constituency based on merit, without consideration of political affiliation. In an interview following the presentation ceremony in Juaso, Appiah emphasized her unwavering dedication to the constituency's development, regardless of the election outcome. She expressed her intrinsic passion for advancing local initiatives and her intent to continue advocating for projects that enhance livelihoods in Asante-Akim South under the current NDC government.

Appiah reiterated her commitment to fulfilling campaign promises, such as lobbying for the establishment of a tertiary institution and an Islamic Senior High School in the area. She highlighted the importance of empowering young people to engage in productive activities that can benefit the local economy. By providing the equipment, she aims to foster economic independence among the beneficiaries and reduce potential involvement in social vices due to unemployment.

She urged the recipients to utilize the equipment effectively as they embark on their entrepreneurial paths. Several beneficiaries conveyed their deep appreciation for Appiah's support and pledged to make the most of the opportunities provided.
