CaFGOAG Congratulates New Administrator of National Premix Fuel Secretariat

Accra: The National Executive Committee of the Canoe and Fishing Gear Owners Association of Ghana (CaFGOAG) has extended its congratulations to Mr. Ebow Mensah on his appointment as the administrator of the National Premix Fuel Secretariat.

According to Ghana News Agency, a statement signed by Nana Kweigyah, the national president of CaFGOAG, emphasized that Mr. Mensah is bringing extensive expertise, experience, and dedication to the role. The statement highlighted the critical importance of premix fuel in the development of artisanal fisheries and expressed that Mr. Mensah's leadership would be key in tackling the challenges faced by fishing communities related to the distribution and management of premix fuel. His leadership is anticipated to strengthen governance in the premix fuel subsector, enhancing its distribution, management, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of fisheries livelihoods.

CaFGOAG expressed its gratitude to the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Madam Emelia Arthur, for the appointment, voicing full confidence in Mr. Mensah's capability to guide the National Premix Fuel Secretariat towards a future characterized by innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth in the artisanal fisheries sector.

The association also conveyed its eagerness to partner with Mr. Mensah in enhancing the governance of the premix fuel subsector to benefit fishing communities and the artisanal fisheries sector at large. Furthermore, it reaffirmed its members' support and commitment to collaborating for the betterment of premix fuel distribution and management to serve fishing communities effectively.
