African U23 Athletics Championships- Day-1: Tunisia secures silver and bronze medals

Tunisian athletes won a silver and a bronze medal on the opening day of the African U23 Athletics Championships, held from May 20 to 24 in Rades. Jamila Zaghmi won the silver medal as she finished second in the 1000 metres walk (girls) event, in 49.11:12, ahead of compatriot Oumayma Hsouna, 3rd and bronze medalist (50.12:35). Algerian Melissa Teloum finished first 49.00:73.

Handball – Tunisia’s Cup: Esperance de Tunis join EM Mahdia in final

Defending champions, Esperance de Tunis, qualified for the final of Tunisia's Handball Cup 2022-2023, after defeating AS Teboulba 40-22, at a semi-final game played on Saturday afternoon in Teboulba. Esperance will face at the final next June 2 in Rades EM Mahdia, who had defeated CS Sakiet Ezzit 29-25 on Friday. Men’s Volleyball CAVB African Club Championship 2023: MS Boussalem Vs Zamalek SC in final

Tunisia's Mouloudia Sport of Boussalem qualified for the final of the Men's Volleyball CAVB African Club Championship 2023, after beating Cameroon's Port Douala 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-17) in the semifinals, played Friday night in Kelibia (Tunisia). The Tunisian team will take on Sunday in final Egypt's Zamalek SC, winners in the other semi-final against Algeria's JSC Ouled Adouane 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-20).

CAF Champions League – semi-final 2nd leg – Esperance de Tunis eliminated after losing 1-0 to Al Ahly

Esperance de Tunis were eliminated from the CAF Champions League after losing to Al Ahly of Egypt (1-0) at a second-leg semi-final game played on Friday evening in Cairo.

The only goal of the match was scored by Hussein Al Shahat in the 23rd minute.

In the first leg, played last Friday in Rades, Al Ahly won by 3 goals to 0.

In the final, the Egyptian team will take on the winners of the two-leg match between Sundowns of South Africa and Wydad of Casablanca (first leg 0-0), the second leg of which will be played on Sunday in South Africa.

Volleyball African club championships (women): CF Carthage through to semi-finals

CF Carthage qualified for the semi-finals of the Volleyball African club championships (women), after defeating APR Rwanda 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-16), at a quarterfinal game played Friday in Nabeul.
