ACCRA: The Reverend Father Stephen Dogodzi, Parish Priest of the St Charles Lwanga Catholic Church in Abeka, has called on Christians to overcome negative attitudes that can hinder their personal and professional growth. Speaking on the eve of the new year, Fr. Dogodzi highlighted the importance of self-reflection and proactive behavior in achieving success and spiritual fulfillment in 2025.

According to Ghana News Agency, Fr. Dogodzi warned that negative attitudes could manifest in various aspects of life, including communication, appearance, and interpersonal relationships, potentially leading to missed opportunities. He emphasized that Christians should not wait for ideal job opportunities but should actively pursue available work while seeking better prospects through prayer and persistence.

Fr. Dogodzi also addressed the issues of laziness and idleness, urging individuals to find dignified ways to earn a living. He cautioned against spending time unproductively, such as gossiping or playing games, as these habits could lead to poverty. Instead, he encouraged people to make positive changes in their lives to receive blessings from God.

To achieve success in the new year, Fr. Dogodzi advised listening only to supportive voices and avoiding those who discourage positive actions. He warned against being a hindrance to others' success by sharing negative anecdotes that could dissuade people from helping those in need.

The priest concluded by encouraging Christians to seek Christ in their daily lives and acknowledge their needs, emphasizing the importance of spiritual growth alongside personal and professional development.
